Episode 6.3: Stabiae and the Eruption

trēs lapidēs, trēs inscrīptiōnēs. Sextus eōs in mediō forō posuit et Recentiōs respexit.

"legite," inquit. "haec verba Sociētātis Potentium sunt. haec nōbīs Lapidem mōnstrābunt."

caelum suprā eōs obscūrius fīēbat, et pumicēs cadēbant, et tempus nōn erat.

Lapis I:

invēnimus Lapidem in Aegyptō. Cleopātrae patrēs Lapidem dedērunt, et rēgīnam dēlectat.

Lapis II:

Lapidemne quaeritis? nōn habētis signum, et nōn in cellam intrātis. sōlum signātī in cellam intrant. vōs interficimus, vōs sine signō.

Lapis III:

habitāmus nunc in Aegyptō, sub terrā. vēnimus in Alexandrīam, et invēnimus cavum antīquum. in locō Lapidem antīquī posuērunt, et nunc servāmus potentiam in Lapide.

Sextus Recentiōs spectāvit. "quid haec verba dīcunt? ubi est Lapis? et quid vōbīs necesse est?"

 Recentiī inscrīptiōnēs lēgērunt. quid intellēxērunt?

Option A: Octāviāna respondet: "Lapis in Aegyptō est, sub terrā, prope Alexandrīam. signum habēre dēbēmus."

Option B: Bellātor rogat: "Sexte, nōn certī sumus. adiuvā nōs."
