C. Iulius Caesar, De Bello Gallico 5.47

Caesar is on the march toward Cicero's camp and the summoned legions are converging on him. the passage covers his arrangements at Samarobriva, where the army's baggage and hostages are stored, and the dispatch he receives from Labienus, whose camp lies near the Treveri. the deaths of Sabinus and his cohorts among the Eburones are in the background.
